Located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA, Tall Grass Bakery provides a wide range of artisan bread, granola, cookies, buns, and pastries.

You can find our breads at our bakery in Ballard as well as restaurants, and grocery stores throughout the greater Puget Sound area.

Classic Baguette

This traditional French baguette has a nutty flavor and an open crumb. Available with blunt or traditional tapered ends.

Compagnon

This hand-formed classic French bread uses a yeast culture, slow fermentation, and has an open crumb.

Pain au Levain

A mild, chewy sourdough made from 60% organic wheat flour, and 30% organic whole wheat flour.

Sourdough Rye

A chewy rye bread with a distinct crust and open crumb, without caraway.

Whole Wheat and Honey

100% whole wheat bread, with a soft crust and even crumb.

Pumpernickel

A dark rye with a rich and complex flavor. Made with molasses and topped with caraway and kosher salt, this bread has an even, dense crumb.

Cherry Pumpernickel

A variation of our pumpernickel featuring dried sour cherries to produce a complex combination of sweetness, spice, and tanginess. Makes an excellent breakfast or dessert bread.

Desem

A strong, whole wheat sourdough with a dense even crumb.

All Rye

A hearty, German-style, 100% rye bread, made with whole cracked rye flour. Has a dense, moist crumb and whole rye berries throughout.

Olive and Herb Fougasse

A flavorful herb bread featuring rich olives and sweet onions. Available in batard or traditional fougasse shape.

Breadsticks

Hand-formed breadsticks rolled in sesame seeds for a buttery, nutty flavor.

A moist bread with a soft crumb, made of 50% organic, whole stone-milled oats and 50% organic wheat flour. With rolled oats on the crust.

Hominy

A marbled bread made from our Sourdough Rye and Pumpernickel.
